Larry,

My wife and I almost went to Phuket a few years ago, and almost got killed. We had booked a beach front bungalow at The Chedi – only to cancel a week before, because our teenage son was being a jerk. So we decided to postpone until after the New Year. This saved our lives when the tsunami hit the day after Christmas. Our son (although no longer a teenage twit) continues to remind us that he saved our lives.

No matter that, I’m writing from another exceptional vacation spot, Antalya , Turkey where I’m staying (pre-opening) at what must be the single most luxurious hotel in the world, the Mardan Palace. Take a look at http://www.MardanPalace.com The opulence here is almost unimaginable and this visit to Turkey is an eye-opener; the rest of the world outside of the US has not forgotten how to have a good time. The movement of the Dow has as much relevance to people here as sunspot activity. Do you feel that in Thailand? It’s been an eye opener for me and a useful market perspective.

Have a great time!

Hi Larry,
I almost have read all your articles and comments, while in Weiss or now at Uncommonwisdom. I believed in your words and followed your comments and learned a lot (as well as all other nice guys in Uncommon). But in your recent market analysis, I’ve seen some kind of contradiction and misprediction. Here are parts of you words about G-20 results :” If the plan shapes up as I think it will, my current target for GOLD of 2270 $ could turn, out to be ultra-conservative” and in the other part we see your analysis : ” Ultimately, I expect the G-20 will monetize at least 10 percent of US debt, which would send gold rocketing to more than $ 5,200 an ounce”. WOW, I don’t know how you reached/calculated those figures, but by looking at gold price (now 873.20 $, Hong Kong) your analysis showed you’re living in another side of see. I just copy-paste your words and if didn’t know you, would ask myself is this guy an analyst or a broadway fortune-teller? I would sugest, just think about it deeply and see how can your future comments can impress your fans. Continue to read your artcles and will watch videos.
Have Fun in Thailand
