Has gold really broken out to the upside? Is gold over $1,000 proof positive that the next BIG leg up has started?
For my thoughts, see this week’s very important video update.Best wishes,
Larry

Dear Larry:
I admire your courage, endeavour ‘n time upon what the hack is going on on gold market…..When gold price around 950 USD… I saw yur interpretation of next trend of gold market….meanwhile, I had learnt that the seasonal trend line from Ira…http://news.goldseek.com/GoldSeek/1252562760.php … I knew that pic of seasonal trend of gold market before I saw yur update last week…….well…..who knows….right, as I have predicated that the price would go down this week according to the COT report on Sept. 4th, 2009. Last time, I post some Qs for you, but I have no idea why you haven’t answered that, anyway…u know..timing has gone and we are now at the moment of whether I should get in next Mon. morning after reading the new COT report on Sept. 11st or any command on the link I provided…..the picture shows ……I dunno coz I am not the expert as you guys… just please.. share some thoughts after you looking at that seasonal pic of gold trend….it starts to rise up from the end of Aug. onto the beginning of Sept and then pull back a bit….is the 11st of 14st of Sept the best of good time to get into the gold market again? I’m looking forward to your reply,
Max

Could their buying have caused the blip last week?
hi Larry, i beleive we are at a cusp and we could go either way.

Don’t fight the fed and don’t fight the tape. This looks like a solid breakout on increased volume usually an indication of higher prices to come. GLD is also forming a flag a bullish formation. The bullion banks have large open short positions and could be forced to cover sending the price of gold way higher and rather quickly. The cycle stuff is interesting but I don’t know if I would bet the farm on it. It looks like a good adjunct to standard technical analysis but right now the technicals for gold are extremely strong.
If history is the best teacher then… all pics http://www.321gold.com/editorials/hoye/hoye091009.pdf

Larry,
I appreciate and thank you for the unique chat work on gold that you have been showing us lately. As an amateur technical analyst myself, I have used all the old standards of patterns and indicators through the years. But the things that yu are showing us now are fresh and absolutely in tune with today’s markets.
Please continue to keep us informed using the charts and ideas you have been sharing.
Thanks,
John
Concerning the “echo” you are getting on your mic. It appears that you do not have any soft surfaces, (ie. carpet, drapes, upholstery) that have the effect of absorbing sound and preventing echo. Short of redecorating your office, why not try a foam wind sock for the mic? just a thought.
re:Ralph Press
Ralph, sure JP Morgan has a huge short position in gold, but they also have a huge long position in GLD. Why do you think they allow the delivery of GLD to satisfy delivery on the futures?
I have been unable to view (or hear) the videos that have been posted for the past several weeks. This is getting EXTREMELY FRUSTRATING, especially at this critical breakout time where I look to your advice on market timing and recommendations. If the video problem cannot be addressed immediately, please send a transcript of these video messages. Thanks.

Why would Silver not be a better investment than Gold and why would Silver
not soon begin its own “break-out” considering the Chinese Govt. recently advised
its own people to buy silver as they consider silver to be an undervalued metal/investment and a safeguard against inflation…Not paper silver…
Larry,
How about commenting on other metals – silver, platinum, etc.? And how about commenting on other resources like copper, lead, zinc? Thanks!
Mike
I can’t seem to get into your website or get an email. I think I joined over a month ago. I get your Uncommon Wisdom but I never received your letter.
